Attorneys can submit three types of Domestic Relations notices for Cook county through our website: divorces, orders of protection, and allocation of parental responsibilities. And we’ve just added the ability to submit adoption notices.
Divorce, Order of Protection, and Allocation of Parental Responsibilities notices give the respondent(s) a deadline for filing an appearance in the case filed against them. Our new Adoption notice gives unknown fathers and other respondents notification of an adoption procedure and provides a date by which they must respond to the petition. You will need to upload a copy of your Petition and Affidavit for Service by Publication (and a Fee Waiver, if one has been approved for the case) when you submit your domestic relations or adoption notice.
At this time, we can only accept cases for Cook county submitted by attorneys. Pro se customers can submit their documents here, and anyone seeking to publish in another county should email our Public Notice Network team.
